PlayLogic is operated from Ireland and processes personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law. This policy should be read with our Terms & Conditions and Competition Rules.
1. What we collect
- Account and profile information: your name, email address, phone number and optional profile photo.
- Competition entries and predictions: your entries, entry codes, weekly and season predictions, points and leaderboard positions.
- Contact information: messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Payment-related records: the amount paid, currency, promotional code used, payment status, refund status and the payment provider's transaction references.
Card and payment credentials are entered directly with our payment provider (Stripe) and are processed by them. PlayLogic does not receive or store your card number.
2. Why we process it
- Competition administration: creating entries, scoring predictions, producing leaderboards and awarding prizes.
- Authentication and account management: signing you in, password resets and keeping your account secure.
- Payments and refunds: taking entry payments, applying promotions and processing refunds.
- Communications: entry confirmations, Gameweek and deadline reminders, and service notices about your entry.
- Security and fraud prevention: detecting duplicate or fraudulent accounts and protecting the integrity of the competition.
- Service operation: keeping the platform working, diagnosing faults and improving reliability.
We process this data to perform our contract with you (your entry), to meet legal obligations such as financial record-keeping, and for our legitimate interest in running a fair and secure competition. We do not sell personal data.
3. Who we share it with
- Our payment provider, to take payments and process refunds.
- Our email provider, to send transactional competition emails.
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores the platform data.
- Other participants see only leaderboard-safe information: your display name (first name and surname initial) and your entry code. Your email address, phone number and payment details are never shown to other participants.
4. Data retention
- Account and profile data is kept while your account is active.
- Competition entries, predictions and results are kept for the competition and for a reasonable period afterwards so results and prizes can be verified.
- Payment and refund records are kept for as long as required for financial and tax record-keeping.
- When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable format. You can update most of your profile details yourself in your account settings. To make a request, email eric@playlogic.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.
6. Security
Access to participant data is restricted, database access is protected by row-level security rules, and payment credentials never reach our servers. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
